Lori often is asked if she is an artist. Her reply is a resounding: “Yes! And food is my medium.” She lives up to the name of her catering company everyday, insuring that your event is simply scrumptious and memorable.
Lori Shepard established Simply Scrumptious Catering in 2003. However, her artistic recipe began simmering more than 50 years ago.
Executive Chef Lori Shepard founded Simply Scrumptious Catering out of her love for entertaining. She is dedicated to continuously creating memorable moments through food, and delivering the best catering in Ann Arbor. As a result, Lori loves to share her gifts with each client she is honored to serve.
Like many of you, Lori started cooking as a small child. At age 5, Lori always was at her mother’s side, helping with dinner preparation. By age 8, Lori baked on her own, creating cakes, cookies, and other desserts for her family. Then, Lori started preparing dinner for the family at the tender age of 10. In her teens, Lori cooked side by side with her beloved grandmother. Why? To insure that none of the special family legacy recipes would be lost.
Family and friends were thrilled when Lori finally followed her heart and created her catering company. They enjoyed her culinary masterpieces over years. Now, so would her lucky clients!
As a result, Lori said goodbye to a rewarding career in health care. However, she incorporated her strong business and leadership skills into the recipe used to “cook up” her new business.
And Simply Scrumptious Catering was born!
